Muktinath Tour
Muktinath Temple, in Mustang district of Nepal, is located in a high-altitude area at 3,710 meters (12,172 feet) in the Himalayas, making the highest temple in the world. “Mukti” meaning Nirvana “Nath” meaning God. Muktinath Yatra is most revered pilgrimage site for Hindus and Buddhist followed by Jain and Bon followers.

Muktinath Tour Package Overview

Muktinath is located in a high-altitude area of the central Himalayan range, near the upper reaches of the Kali River in the Budi Gandaki river system and in south of Lo-Manthang, which is a prominent area within the Mustang region of Nepal. Origin of “Nirvanagod” is rooted into rich history and diverse religious belief from both Hindus and Buddhist the major site. Muktinath Rituals is believed to have been a place of worship for centuries, with references the texts as early as the 2nd century CE (began with AD 101 and continued through AD 200).
In Hinduism, Muktinath Pilgrimage is dedicated to lord Vishnu, set into the wall around it are 108 waterspouts from which pour holy water highlighting its significance as a place where devotees seek liberation (moksha) from the cycle of birth and rebirth.

According to story of Muktinath Religious Significance, the temple was established by divine Sage, “Sanat Kumar” and later became the pilgrimage site. On the other hand, its association with the mythological tales of the sage “Vyasa and his disciples”, who are said to have visited the site.

Muktinath Buddhist Site holds a great significant and considered a sacred site of the Nyingma School of Tibetan Buddhism. The scared Temple has a connection with the great Tibetan saint “Padmasambhava” (Guru Pinpoche), who have meditated here. The site is also linked with the concept of "Mochang," or spiritual liberation, and is visited by Tibetan Buddhists seeking blessings and enlightenment.

The temple has pagoda-style structure and carvings. Its most amazing feature is the 108 water spouts, which are said to represent the 108 sacred places in the Hindu tradition. Devotees believe that bathing will clean them of their sins and bring them closer to Nirvana. The Muktinath Sacred Flames, including the nearby Jwala Mai Temple, which features natural flames from the ground, are seen as of divine power.

During 14th and 15th centuries, the temple became Muktinath religious Significance destination, drawing devotees from across the India and Tibet. Despite the challenges posed by its remote location, the temple has remained a focal point.

Detail Highlights
DAY 01: Arrival Kathmandu.
Arrival in Kathmandu at Tribhuwan International Airport, meet by our representative and transfer to hotel. Meeting and briefing about the program. Rest day at leisure. Overnight at Hotel.

DAY 02: Kathmandu Sightseeing.
After breakfast, we begin the tour program with guided sightseeing tour of Pashupatinath, Budhanilkantha, Bouddhanath Stupa and Kathmandu Durbar Square. Overnight at Hotel

DAY 03: Drive, Kathmandu – Pokhara via Manakamana Temple (210 km/ 6 hrs).
Morning after breakfast drive to Pokhara and enroute visit Manakamana Temple by cable car. Late afternoon check in Hotel in Pokhara & refresh. Stroll around Lake side & Pokhara market in the evening. Overnight at Hotel

DAY 04: Fly, Pokhara – Jomsom (20 min) and drive to Muktinath (2 hrs).
Early morning, we will have tea/coffee in the hotel and collect pack breakfast then transfer to the airport for your flight to Jomsom. Receive by our representative in Jomsom & check into Hotel & leave baggage. By the time, our Jomsom representative will arrange the vehicle and we will drive to Muktinath (2 hrs drive). Arrival in jeep/bus station (Ranipauwa) near Muktinath and walk 20 min further from bus station to Muktinath Temple. Perform worship (puja) & darshan with taking holy bath in the sacred 108 water spouts surrounding the temple; Also a Jwalamai Darshan will be made. Then walk down upto Jeep/bus station and drive back to Jomsom. Refresh in hotel & take lunch & dinner at Jomsom hotel. Overnight at Hotel.

DAY 05: Fly, Jomsom to Pokhara then Sightseeing Tour.
After breakfast, move to airport for your flight to Pokhara. Arrival in Pokhara and pick up by our representative & check into the Hotel. After lunch, guided sightseeing tour of Pokhara Valley – David’s Fall, Gupteswor Mahadev Cave, Bindabasini Temple, K. I. Singh Bridge and Barahi Temple with a boat ride on Fewa Lake. Overnight at Hotel.

DAY 06: Drive, Pokhara – Kathmandu (210 km, 6 hrs).
Drive back to Kathmandu. Check into the hotel and refresh. Rest of the day is free for shopping and relaxation. Overnight at Hotel.

DAY 07: Departure.
Transfer to the International airport for your onward destination.
